We wanted to turn the overgrown back garden of a period property in a small Wiltshire market town into a contemporary space that combined the history of the site with a modern aesthetic and modern usage. We wanted a space with different areas - for relaxing, entertaining and for events, specifically art events. We chose Steve Williams as our garden designer because of his belief in the importance of connecting ourselves to nature for mental health as well as his contemporary approach to using outdoor spaces as more than just pretty places to look at.
